12th Doctor: Peter Capaldi
British actor Peter Capaldi will become the 12th Doctor in Doctor Who. The BBC made the announcement during a live television broadcast on Sunday. Capaldi made already a guest appearance in the show back in 2008 and after that in the spin-off Torchwood. He will take the role of the Doctor in the spring of 2014.
